Delvin Kenion is the founder of Connections, LLC and has been working in the field of substance abuse for over 10 years.

After struggling with substance abuse for 10 years, I came to a hopeless and helpless state. I had lost everything and everyone who meant something to me. I was introduced to recovery in 2009 and relapsed in 2010. After 7 months of substance use I went back into treatment with a different mindset. That was to actually learn to trust those who were willing to help me, take the suggestions that they were giving to me, and open my mind to new ideas that I'd never experienced.
One person in particular crossed my path and showed through action that he believed in me. He gave me the hope that I needed to grow from, and in return through working on myself, I established a foundation that helped me from within. With everything that I came in with, from low self-esteem, lack of confidence, no hope for the future; all had been changed over time. With the help from others, I have been able to re-establish those relationships that had been lost with my kids, family, and most importantly, myself.
With the encouragement, from a really close friend in the field, who saw something in me that I couldn't see within myself, I started working toward my certification to be a Drug and Alcohol Counselor I took a leap of faith and pursued my career in helping others. It has been one of the best decisions, other than recovery, I've ever made in my life.
Over the course of my recovery and working in the field, I was inspired to design a program to help bridge the gap and prevent the vicious cycle of repeated treatment and relapse.
I focus on building relationships with my clients, the single most important factor in successful counseling and changing lives.
I am passionate about giving the gift that was given to me, to others. I want to help you believe in yourself and give you hope. There is always hope, it doesn't matter who you are, or what you've done, you can not allow your past to define you. You too can recover. You too can be whomever you choose to be.
